Edna Gallardo: Compass GlobalPinoy Awardee
Edna “Ate Edz” Gallardo fared as an OFW in 2014 and since then extended help to people – mainly our kababayans in distress and got abused by their employers in the middle east. Despite encountering several challenges of her own, she helped made it possible for 60 OFWs to fly back home in the Philippines and finally see their families.
Prior to becoming an OFW, Ate Edz was a Barangay Health Worker volunteer for 8 years. She never expected that she would have greater opportunities to help others when she stepped into a foreign land.
Edna’s mother passed away last January without her being able to fly back home. With a heavy heart, she’s only managed to see her beloved mother’s wake via a video call.
– Ate Edz
Edna Gallardo is our Compass GlobalPinoy Awardee this month. We hope that her story will help inspire more Filipinos here and abroad. Her family shall receive a token of appreciation from Compass PH and Global Dominion Financing Inc.
