Ate Edz is our Compass GlobalPinoy Awardee last April, 2019. Upon the announcement of her recognition, their house in the Philippines started sparking joy and happiness as the family appreciated the recognition to their “Ilaw ng Tahanan”.
Three boys out of a total of 7 children, together with their uncle, met with the Global Dominion Financing Inc. Dagupan branch team, headed by the Branch Manager Joel Carmona, GDFI North Luzon Assistant Area Manager Manny Duculan, and GDFI North Luzon Area Manager Eugenie Mabbayad. The team surprised the family with a shoppping spree package, enjoyed by the kids themselves! “They certainly have prioritized their immediate needs, including milk, bread, and toiletries, and still managed to add up some lotion and body spray,” stated by Manny to describe the experience they shared with the ate Edz’s family.
“Nagulat kami na ganon na pala kadami yung natulungan ni mama,” Bien Gallardo uttered when the team re-delivered the news during the meeting. While it was in her nature to help other people, according to her family, the number of Filipinos she has helped outside of the country still keep them joyfully surprised and thankful. The family believes that ate Edz’s works have been allowing good karma to flow to their house and definitely their lives.
“I don’t think there’s anything we could offer the family to match the loneliness they had to endure and their mother’s sacrifices in order to achieve a better life for them and continue with her passion to help more people at the same time,” Eugenie said in an interview. “Ate Edz is just irreplaceable,” she added.
