GDFI’s Purposeful Leaders’ Collective
Before going full steam ahead this 2020, the leaders of Global Dominion Financing Inc. paused and regrouped to participate in what’s called the “Purposeful Leaders’ Collective”.
In a nutshell, the leaders discussed about psychological safety, conversational turn-taking, ostentatious listening, exercises to alleviate stress, mindfulness, and growth mindset. Growth Mindset is based on the belief that your basic qualities are things you can develop through dedication and hard work.
Have you ever felt like you’ve been doing the same things over and over again? Felt like you are no longer challenged and the situation in your workspace has never changed and improved? While looking at the physical situation and identify the root causes, it would potentially be more beneficial to step back, take time to pause, get out of autopilot and think through things to figure just the right solution to any problem brought about by this VUCA world.
VUCA stands for Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous, which partially describes the world we are in now. How many times have you experienced the world’s volatility and ambiguity? Have you ever pondered about several aspects of your life which remains uncertain and complex? The same set of personal challenges are parallel to the corporate world’s experience. Leaders face not only personal challenges but more and more professional and organizational adversities as well. While there is not a single way to resolve different and evolving issues, there are a few core principles which could help leaders adapt and be better.
The program, facilitated by Innov8.org, included sessions which helped participants realize and discover strengths from within and use these potentials to go on in life and strive harder to succeed. It has also bridged the company’s core values to its people and helped the leaders re-evaluate the culture and environment of the organization.
